Whether you are looking to soundproof a wall yourself or purchase the materials online and hire a tradesman to install, we have the solution for most types of brick/block and timber stud walls.
Our solutions are based on the level of noise from low to high. We have identified four of the most common solutions below, but if you have any questions, please contact us and we will be more than happy to talk you through it. PLEASE NOTE: Any small gaps/crevices should be filled with Acoustic Sealant to make the wall airtight. This will prevent sound leaking through any weak points in the wall.
You will want to consider using an Acoustic Mineral Wool between any cavities in the wall, and any in any adjacent cavities such as between joists and partition walls that may cause Flanking Transmission.
Solution 1: GenieClip System on Timber Stud Frame*
This uses our most popular wall soundproofing product in combination with TecSound SY70 and achieves an average sound reduction of 50dB as an upgrade to MuteBoard 4 with an increased mass per m2 and vibration dampening qualities of the TecSound SY70 exceeding UK building regulations.
