These are challenging times and we would like to share our heartful support with you and your families.
As the UK government implement significant measures to control this virus, iKoustic are doing everything to comply with these instructions. I can assure you that we are operating in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to the guidance in full.
Our plan is to continue to offer a product advice and supply service for as long as we can. We appreciate your understanding if there are any delays to our normal service times.
Due to home working, we would encourage you to communicate through the Jivochat email link on the site. Supplying all contact details will speed this up further and enable us to get back to you in the order that your enquiries are received in and in the shortest time possible.
We will update you if this position changes.
We supply a range of soundproof underscreeds depending on your requirements. These are high quality, durable and reliable products designed to take high point loads and sit between the concrete slab and the new concrete screeding, helping to float the screed to greatly improve impact reduction. All of our acoustic under screed products, under the correct guidance, are suitable for achieving Part E Building Regulations. Our core products appear in our MuteRange.
Concrete, because of its dense molecular construction as a solid, allows sound to travel much further which makes controlling impact noise problematic. Introducing an acoustic underscreed will allow for a floating concrete screed, this slab would now no longer be in solid contact with the adjacent surfaces which reduces the potential for flanking transmission. Our MuteMat® USF (which the abbreviation stands as Under Screed Flat) is our slim-line product, perfect for use in large residential complexes. We also have our premium range MuteMat® USP (abbreviation here stands for Under Screed Pimpled) can be used where maximum sound attenuation is required for impact noise, these come in three thicknesses that are shown in the products below.
Part E Building Regulations in both Residential and Commercial
Rehearsal spaces and recording studios
Domestic requirements for higher levels of soundproofing
Industrial noise control against vibration
We would recommend coupling with our range of Independent Soundproof Ceiling options to further improve acoustic performance.
