An acoustic wall cladding
Wall Note™ is our elegantly sculpted mural wall cladding, sophisticated and easy to blend into an environment without drawing too much attention, or you could choose to stand out with a dissonant colour scheme. Wall Note™ has four in-house cut designs: Horizon, Line, Arrow and Slash with the option to customise your own cuts. It helps to reduce the amount of reflective wall space there is in an area which can lead to excessive levels of reverb that are detrimental to the understanding of speech or of keeping a clear space without interruptions by this acoustic quality.
If you are looking for inspiration for your next project, to begin looking at our sound absorption options for all your projects and just merely wanting to spark ideas at home - we have chosen a select few from our case studies to showcase a taste of what is possible. Maybe there is something you like but would like to alter slightly, perhaps there is something you dislike or the perfect design, but all you want is a different colour - whatever it is, we can help you narrow your options and discuss them with you!
No matter your skill set in design, even if you have an idea, you can discuss or create an outline of - we can help bring your ideas to life!
If you’d like a particular line cut into our Wall Note™ or would want to make a slight alteration, we can do this for you. Our in-house design team can help you every step of the way by bringing them to the physical world as we look at how each idea is best structured and how it will fit together. We then create visualisations of each space (both existing spaces or new spaces alongside the architect’s visualisation) to see how they will look in placement. Then we send this off to our cutting team who have state-of-the-art precision cutting tools - and then finally we send these flat packed to your installation team, or our installation team if you’re looking for the whole package.
We offer a bespoke product tailoring for our Wall Note™ with our in-house designer to help cater to your wants - do contact us on 01937 588 226 today to discuss.
It is common to see the mistake of Reverberation as something that you soundproof against, if you thought this - you are indeed not alone. To give you a brief explanation of how soundproofing and sound absorption differ is that soundproofing concerns sound transmission, this is when a sound passes through a partition, be it the wall, ceiling or floor and requires a dense mass to reduce its transfer. Sound Absorption concerns reverberation, sound energy that reflects off hard surfaces and leads to an acoustically poor environment in a single room. Reverberation can also be affected by a room's geometry and size, and will often require taking these into consideration in addition to its reflective surfaces. When we dig a little into reverb, you will find terminology, perhaps mathematic equations and names of Scientists you have never heard of - and in our information age, most seek to understand a little more background of what we are trying to solve.
We have put together a brief explanation of reverberation to help cover the standard terminology that often accompanies it and describe the effects of excessive reverb in improper environments. When these are found above tolerable levels - they can disrupt adequate levels of communication, and this is something that is found to be detrimental in educational environments and in critical listening and performance venues. We aim to update this with new research and provide blogs on areas revolving around reverberation. Click on the icon below to read more!
Perhaps it’s the backdrop of a music venue that requires damping of its reverberation levels, or a collaborative work environment that suffers from poor internal acoustics - degrading speech intelligibility or even a leisure centre of swimming pool that holds lessons and are conducted with the teacher unheard regularly. In any of these examples, and certainly not limited to - Wall Note™ is perfect for introducing as a way to reduce reverberation.
Each Wall Note™ is precision cut to provide a stunning level of consistency and ease of fitting, it is flat packed and ready for installation for either you, if you fancy yourself a DIY enthusiast, or if not we have an installation team happy to help put these in place for you!
The sound control we speak of here is the control of reverberation - this is the amount of sound reflected in a single space and is totally dependent on three internal factors: it’s volumetric size, its geometry - whether it’s an L shaped room or a circle and it’s amount of reflective and non-reflective surfaces in a space. There is also a focus on what activities and events you wish to hold in each environment and whether there are sound reproduction systems such as a Public Address system being installed. The success of appropriate levels of speech intelligibility will depend on all of these, and the success of your space. In short, there is no immediate answer to these particular questions without knowing the following:
First we aim to create an estimated acoustic modelling of the room or look to carry out an Acoustic Test, we then we look at required levels alongside your budget in mind for introducing Wall Note™ to your space and discussing visual requirements to how you would like each Note™ to appear in terms of colour scheme and their arrangement.
Wall Note™ could be used in conjunction with soundproofing products such as our MuteClip System for walls to reduce the air pressure and to provide the control of reverberation being exacerbated in the receiving room - but on its own, it is not suitable for a standalone reduction of airborne noise issues travelling from place to place. Wall Note™ could be used as full coverage of walls to reduce the requirement for any skim plaster layer, while at the same time providing a beautiful finish with acoustic benefits - no need for any additional decoration!
Wall Note™ is made of 100% Polyester Fibres which makes it safe for almost any internal application for there are not exposed irritants or loose fibres - of this 65% comes from Post Consumer Recycled Content with 35% from Pre Consumer Recycled PET fibres.
Fire Rating is measured under EN 13501-1:2007+A1:2009: B - s1, d0.
Yes, yes and yes - Wall Note™ is encouraged for use in the hospitality environment especially where minimalist design approaches are making use of exposed walls and ceilings, keeping the concrete floor as is - an opening kitchens as a way of increasing interaction between chefs and customers instead of being in the shut-away kitchen behind the porthole door. Although what this design approach also creates is a rather noisy environment where the sound is found reflecting off hard surfaces and forming a cavernous soundscape. This is off-putting to customers as this will dampen their overall experience which is what many restaurants are wanting to provide - a holistic approach to dining is so much more today than it ever has been. Wall Note™ works as a beautiful patterned wall design that is sleek and sophisticated that work well as a featured restaurant and café installation, our only recommendation to start is to use darker colour schemes in areas where vapour and smoke are expected to avoid any staining appearing over time.
Wall Note™ directly adheres to the wall you wish the install on - our adhesives are offered for best installation, speak to our team today by using our Chat Feature or calling on 01937 588 226.
If you are looking to create your own individual engraved lines, shapes or even your company logo cut out of our Wall Note™ - all are possible!
