We are always looking for the best ways to describe to you the world of soundproofing through introducing guides that range from the basic principles of sound, how to best soundproof surfaces and what to look for, and how to understand acoustic test data, and this is only naming a few! We want to help you come to the right decision, so whether this is through the use of our guides or talking to a member of our team - we are here to help!
A combination of the following will always result in a much improved acoustic performance.
If you're looking to soundproof an already existing home, 'future-proofing' or adhering to acoustic regulations, it is crucial to select the right system. Low frequencies are often the source of many issues and are not just found with industrial machinery or amplified music, but also in the human voice, in the use of soundbars or small Bluetooth speakers, and impact noises such as closing doors.
Nylon Hammerfix 8mm x 80mm is simply a mechanical fixing to securely fit MuteBoard™ 3 and MuteBoard™ 4 to a range of masonry, brick or block partitions. They offer no acoustic benefit, and their impact on the overall acoustic performance of creating holes in the wall is negligible, make sure to apply an acoustic sealant over the nail heads when completed.
We understand that it is not always possible to incorporate significant losses of space with say, the introduction of a stud frame, so we provide different variances to suit what performance you need, your budget and thickness.
Whatever your soundproofing project, come and speak to our team on 01937 588 226.
This product is part of the following systems:
A pilot hole must be drilled in to the wall first to allow the fitting of the Nylon casing, then the screw is fixed through the MuteBoard™ 3 or MuteBoard™ 4 and knocked in at the last bit of purchase the screw has to help expand the nylon casing to create a tighter fit.
