9mm STS Construction Board
STS Construction Board can be used as an overlay for our MuteMat products. This is important when overlaying MuteMat with Tiles, LVT or other types of tongue and groove or click flooring. The Construction board create a rigid surface and prevents flexing in the overlay that could lead to cracking or damage.
Plywood can offer similar results, however, cement board offers superior density and rigidity with high thermal mass and can be used in damp environments with no rot or delamination. The increased density makes it ideal to be used as part of a soundproofing system.

Ideal for use in bathrooms and areas that may get wet. STS construction board will not rot or delaminate under damp conditions.
Fire resistant construction board
STS construction board has a Euroclass A1 fire rating. EN ISO 1182 & EN ISO 1716. nb
Prevents Flex
Some Soundproof underlays like MuteMat 3 have foam that can be compressed as this helps prevent impact noise. With tiles and LVT this compression can cause issues. Construction board prevents this and adds acoustic protection.
